Rowena Karmy was born in Austria to parents of Palestinian origin. She moved to Amman, Jordan at the age of one and has lived in Amman most of her life. At the age of 19, she moved to New York City to study interior design and model with Click Model Management. She found her passion for modeling in Amman when she signed with a modeling agency at the age of 14 and worked with numerous fashion and lifestyle magazines such as Living Well and Home. Rowena also walked down runway shows for New York Fashion Week dressed in brands such as Damingo Zapata, Temraza, and Alice & Olivia. Most recently, she worked on projects with Dior and MAC cosmetics. One of her dearest achievements was competing in her first ever pageant at the Miss New York 2018 competition, where she received the 4th place runner up. She believes in hard work and beauty and says, “If you work hard you can accomplish anything you set your mind to. Dream big and your boundaries will fall apart.”
